Greece, Paros

Cyclades Island of Paros, Greece
Paros is the third largest island of the Cyclades. By car you can see the island beyond the town. It is a seaport with shops and restaurants along the harbor front. There is much more to this island that a car is necessary transport. The village of Lefkes is in the middle of the island high on the mountain. Quaint churches and many goat farms line the countryside. The marble quarries are not as plentiful as in Naxos but as beautiful. The beaches and beach towns like Dryos are assessed by fieldstone alleys. In the middle of the town is a ruin of a roman fort and just west a church with a hundred doors.
